Based to the company’s statement on Thursday, MakeMyTrip launched a GenAI-enabled Trip Planning Assistant that will help customers with every step of vacation preparation, from discovery to fulfilling and beyond.
MakeMyTrip introduces a Trip Planning Assistant powered by Gen AI to help users with every part of travel, includes booking and discovery. Conversational support would be available to users at every stage of their trip, including shopping, location discovery, in-travel situations, and afterwards situations.

A upgrade over the current AI assistant, Myra, the new GenAI Trip Planning Assistant will make the experience easy and conversational by enabling travelers to speak via text and speech. This will promise that people in India who were previously unable to make tickets because they were uneasy with the English language may now do so. The beta version of Myra is now live in both Hindi and English. The team plans to introduce more Indian languages soon, after refining the conversation flow based on feedback from early users. With a single voice-led conversation, the GenAI Trip Planning Assistant allows customers to ask smart travel questions in Hindi or English and receive dynamic, customized answers that go beyond ideas to promote smooth, end-to-end bookings.

This has resulted in a multi-agent AI setup where each specialised agent collaborates to create a smooth, unified experience for users. Currently in its beta phase, the system is gathering insights from real user interactions, which will be used to refine and enhance it even further.
